Just dug from a hillside beside the Yazoo River, where Confederate forces were holding Porter's flotilla of ironclads at bay. These grape and canister shot range from approximately 1 1/4" to approximately 2 1/8" diameter and were probably fired from 6 and 12 pounder smoothbores.
