This original Confederate bowie knife along with its original leather sheath surfaced at an auction in Port Gibson. I have examined it closely and am convinced it is all original. The knife is made from a file; the file's teeth can be seen along a small portion of the blade. The wooden handle sports what I assume is the original owner's initials. The leather sheath is bound with hand stitching. I have decided to sell this one; it's on display in our store.
